This artifact represents an abrupt transition of the urban fabric.
From monotonous, linear monoliths to a free flowing, natural landscape.
This piece was inspired by the abrupt departure from the downtown center of Omaha near Gene Leahy mall and the ConAgra Campus. The transition is quick, thrusting the viewer out of the urban core, creating an intriguing juxtaposition of the two vastly different conditions.
Becoming a literal representation of the urban fabric, this piece invites viewers to interact with and manipulate it, much like how designers and architects have the opportunity to reshape landscapes and communities.  Its abstract nature intends to challenge viewers to see urban landscapes in a new way, inviting them to explore and consider how their actions affect the urban fabric of the cities around them.
